DOGGY SEATIME

The dogs and I have spent over 100 days on the boat so far this year. We spent 3 weeks in September on the boat. We will be on the boat for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. My husband laughs that I actually have a log book and log mine and the dogs sea time in it.

 Sally just being Sally
Nothing makes me as happy as seeing these 3 welcoming me on board.
Just before a storm came thru the wind picked up. Poor Pierrot was getting blown away.
Beaujolais watching the storm coming thru.

I have changed the name of the blog from Two dogs on a boat to Three Dogs on a boat with the addition of Pierrot to Our family.

Pierrot came to live with us in May 2014. He is a PooChi ( teacup poodle and long haired Chihuahua). He is only about 3 pounds and has turned out to be quite the water dog. He loves swimming and he loves the boat. He is about 8 months old now.

Sally is 7 years old and a Golden Retriever. She is a very loving and nurturing dog. She loves the water.

Beaujolais is 7 years old and a Texas sized Malti Poo. She loves the boat because she gets to be with Mama 24/7 when we are on it. She is definitely my baby. She does not like getting her hair wet. She likes her life jacket and intertube so she never really has to get in the water.

CHRISTMAS ON THE BOAT

Normally I am a major Christmas person . We decorate the house with lights, we have a Christmas tree in every room and we have a huge Christmas party. This year no matter what I did, I just couldn't get in the spirit of the holidays. So we decided to have a quiet Christmas on the boat just the dogs and my husband and I.

My husband put lights on the boat and I decorated the deck and interior. It was very cozy and fun.

We ended up having company for dinner every night. We also had some people join us for a Christmas cruise.

RUSSIAN CHRISTMAS DINNER

On a boat there isn't a lot of room to cook a Christmas dinner. Taking full advantage of this I made reservations at Russian House in downtown Austin. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Two of our live aboard neighbors joined us.
The food is fabulous and the ambiance is just perfect.

THE CHILDREN WERE NESTLED ALL SNUG IN THEIR BEDS CHRISTMAS MORNING

The children were nestled all snug in their beds.....

DIRTY DAWGS

Our dog Sally is infamous for finding disgusting stuff to roll in. She decided to do this just as we were loading up to drive to the boat. Let me tell you that dog got stinker every mile of that 4 hour drive. Once we got to Austin it was freezing and there was no way we could give her a bath on the dock. The next day we found Dirty Dog do it yourself dog wash.
I was impressed. They had everything you could need and then some and it really wasn't to expensive, The dogs even liked it.
